A morning farewell to a Baidi in rainbow clouds,

Translator’s Notes
I went with thirteen-syllable verses this time, to contrast with the seven-character quatrains.
As dictated by Baidu, Li Bai was once exiled due to what had happened with Prince Lin of Yong. After reaching Baidi City — also known as White Emperor City — he suddenly received a letter of amnesty, and in his joy, immediately set sail for Jiangling County, writing this poem.
