  1. I’m confused… why did yby need to practice the six harmonies method to save changqing? Like, what did that have to do with changqing and why did changqing feel bad about it? The six harmonies gave conditional immorality to yby, but how did that save changqing from whatever he was suffering?

    • YBY and CQ were martial “brothers” sort of… CQ was injured and a girl brought him back to YBY. So all three got tangled up in CQs stupidity lol in the later or extra chapters (I think), it will be explained 🙂

  3. So, all this time, Wen KeXing goal had been to identify who is the owl that bring disaster to his family. The hunted down him had to settle in Ghost Valley and seized the power. The laughing owl turned out to be the talentless coward Zhao Jing that died just like that. In the process, he lost his only sister Gu Xiang. Oh my.
    Ye Baiyi and his mistake all for one sided love.
    Gu Xiang and her helplessness for her loved one.
    Cao Weining and his tragic pure heart and love.
    Damn it all.
    Everything actually started with greed (Rong Xuan) and ended with betrayal (Zhao Jing).

  4. I feel sad for ye baiyi, he liked changqing but only got one sided love. gu xiang and cao weining so heartbreaking 😭

    So zzs is the son of rong xuan?

    • No. ZZS was the son of a lower rank official. Read Qi Ye (Lord Seventh) for more of his background 🙂

    • Ron Xuan didn’t have a kid. He was Changping son who ye baiyi was in love with. WKW is Renyu son. And ZZS dad was if I’m not mistaken a official working for the old emperor

    • Ye Baiyi’s story is so sad, makes sense he’s become a bitter old man hehe. What an interesting character I really liked him. Now he’s off to wander faraway until his time comes 😢

    • Rong Xuan didn’t have kids. ChangQing is Rong Xuan’s dad. ChangQing is also YBY’s love who married someone else

    • As far as i have understood, wkx’s father and mother were friends with Rong Xuan and had the key to lapis armor, after he died. For that they had to go to seclusion and protect the key. But I guess (Zhao Jing???) someone outed their location, which led to the death of his parents

      • So, the Rongs and the Wens are friends. Ye Ba Yi said that the boy wanted to.learn Six harmonies so he went and entrusted the boy to the Lord of Manor. He also left a flexible sword to that boy. In short- Zhou Zishu is the son of Rong Xuan then Wen Ke Xing was the son of the Wens.

      • So Zhou Zi Shu was Rong Xuan’s son Nd Wen Ke Xing was his friend’s kid.

        Ye Bai Yi was the one who brought the young ZiShu to then leader of Four Seasons Manor. Wen Ke Xing’ parent were killed because of the.key

      • No, wkx is WRY’s son. Idk about zzs but when yby said their son want to learn 6 harmony he means rong xuan. Yby is rx shifu! If u read the earlier chapter it is said that rx even stole second half of the scroll in order to achieve 6 harmony but went into qi deviations. I dont think rx and his wife have a child

      • Totally wrong! Ye Baiyi is much much much older. His one sided love is Rong Changqing. The son he said wanted to learn sixth harmonies IS Rong Xuan! Which is Rong Changqing’s son. Rong Xuan is friend with WKX’s dad, Wen Ruyu through their wives (fellow Valley sects). Rong Xuan also friend with ZZS’s master, the next Lord of Manor. ZZS’s master isn’t that close as he didn’t joined the study they did about Six Harmonies as he is busy with Manor.

        WKX’s parents are clueless of the truth about the key to the armory (they are innocent, don’t know six harmonies etc). Because Rong Xuan’s wife didn’t have enough time to expain as she is dying and hunted. When their valley is destroyed, that is how Wen Ruyu learned the key importance and should be hidden. That is why WKX hated his dad growing up, for being foolish and ignorantly holding a disaster, the bowl that the owl toppled (that is why WKX didn’t hesistate to destroy the key, he hated it so much).

        This story run with WKX’s background not ZZS. ZZS background is already revealed in “Lord Seventh”. Why Ye Baiyi followed this two, is because he wanted to bring the ash/bone of Rong Xuan back to his one-sided lover, Rong Changqing’s grave.

  14. ONE CHAPTER LEFT… OH GOD… I wondered whether this would end with the MCs dying and I kind of don’t want to find out now, heh. I’m happy to know Madam Rong is alive. Hopefully Wen Kexing have a chance to meet her!

    • She’s dead… Hence why Ye Baiyi and her are now mutually “silent” for over a decade. YBY tells things weird like that… Not outright saying he loved CQ (causing him to be an idiot, just like his son RX), not outright telling peeps HE was the ancient monk they’re talking about, etc.. I guess at some point he just got tired of explaining to be understood he just explains to please himself
