I am not quite sure what Fu Shen means by ‘public opinion’….., in any case, democracy wouldn’t work because the majority of people are uneducated and lack the acuity required for sustainable governance. However, a form of rudimentary republic would be a good improvement of the current system.
That said, I like how Fu Shen says that the only thing he is unable to part with is YX. Very sweet.

Whoa Fu Shen is so badass. Anyone would shit their pants when facing his mockery/anger/coldness while trying to discuss war matters.
Also, the interactions between the couple this chapter almost made me cry.
