Character Guide and Glossary
Characteristics of the Central Plains ethnicity bound it as one that didn’t favor wanton expansion. This Dynasty was no exception; after its territory stabilized, national policies went from offensive to defensive, and there was no more dauntless courage to brave forwards from the nation’s founding. In its place were rulers of experience and staidness that watched over their ancestors’ works. Over time, the tendency of the government to emphasize the civil and de-emphasize the military had grown more and more obvious, with even border generals needing to be Palace Honorates before they could convince anyone.

Head Vizier Tang? Aww, our little baby has grown up so much! Look, he is already a head vizier! ❤
So baby Tang and Count Sui were no longer babies anyone and already in thier forties. Oh my heart, I feel like I’m a mother han seeing her babies getting grown up before her very eyes (╥﹏╥)
I’m with you on the time passing thing…
I do appreciate that Wang Zhi is still Wang Zhi though XD
Thank you for the chapters!
Thanks for the translations 🙂
I guess with any other emperor the friendship between Wang Zhi as a court official, Tang Fan as civil official and Sui Zhou as military/guard would have cost them their heads 😉
